I offer a lot and I know it can be confusing. I will attempt to differentiate between my different offerings here.

What conditions do you treat? Currently my acupuncture focus is helping people recovering from cancer, toxicity, chronic illness, PTSD/CPTSD, autoimmune and undiagnosed diseases. I also have expertise in injuries and pain. I don't keep a comprehensive list (maybe I should), but I do enjoy vlogging and writing about what I treat and how I treat it, so please see my blog - all the information you need to start with is there.

Pregnancy - please let me know if you become or are trying to get pregnant. I do not provide fertility treatments, although I do provide coaching to strengthen the erection and improve the health of the sperm.

I do not provide acupuncture for fertility.

Pre-natal care: General pre-natal is given to anyone who asks.

Specific labor prep actions are only attempted for those I have worked with since week 14 at the latest. These include turning a breach, softening the cervix, descending the baby or engaging the cervix.

Post-natal care is available to anyone who requests it. Acupuncture, moxa, and recommendations for home care can help the pains of tearing and episiotomies, the fear and worry about the changes in one's body, and the depression and poor quality of life reporting that comes with chemical & hormonal shifts after delivering. It also feels really significant to have someone to care for you and listen at this time, when you are giving 150% of yourself to caring for a baby, whether breastfeeding or bottle feeding, not one mother can be found who does not feel exhausted and overwhelmed.

Acupuncture and moxa are also excellent ways to restore digestion, elimination, calm the nerves, unlbock ducts, and deal with any aches and pains accrued during labor.

This is also an excellent period for the father to come for care. If all goes well, it's overwhelming and a metabolic roller coaster to be a new father. We give all we can (well, some of us anyway) and sometimes we deal with aches and pains from our jobs, or from sleeping in the chair of the birthing room. There are physical and chemical changes in the brain as our systems us to fathering. Ten percent of new fathers have post partum depression, & anxiety. If all does not go well, and you experience either the threat of loss, or actual loss (both forms of Trauma), the need for healing is real and can help you reconnect with yourself so you can move on more fully and openly.

What conditions do you treat?

In Movement Coaching sessions, I excel in helping people turn a new corner from long standing injuries, often those accrued from overwork and lack of movement (low back pain, tendonitis, neck pain and referred pain to name a few). I have been studying this since before I was an acupuncturist. I also help people with acute injuries.

For those needing mental/emotional/spiritual healing, I also have training in the use of movement & strength training to help those recovering from PTSD, CPTSD, anxiety, panic, depression, poor body image/disconnection from the body.

My sessions at this stage teach you how to realign your own joints, activate your muscle groups to support the healthy joint alignment, and then practice compound joint movements such as squatting and upper body pulling. This applies healthy stress so the body can increase its metabolic capacity to repair, and teaches the body to support itself as a well aligned unit, where all parts move together. This decreases the incidence of chronic pain and injury, teaches you self-awareness, and connects you with your body through movement in a way that is healthy and feels safe, enjoyable, competent, and powerful.

These sessions inevitably lead to techniques taken from bodybuilding, calisthenics, and power lifting. For those interested in more efficient movement to become stronger more effortless movers, I do offer Fitness Training. You will find the movement repertoire to be fun above all, mobilizing your inner beast as you learn to climb stairs carrying heavy loads, pickup, shoulder, and toss sandbags, and find the real meaning of "mind over matter."

Studies are clear that people who move a lot have different metabolic, neural, degenerative, and emotional characteristics than peple who move very little. Also clear is that people who move a lot recover faster when injured or when healing/navigating the emotional challenges that come with being an adult.
